Meet Aqeel Camal - Future Amp Youth Advisory Board Member, social change agent + youth catalyst.

“I believe in the potential of young people and am striving to help unlock it."

Meet Aqeel Camal, the newest member to take a seat on the national Future Amp Youth Advisory Board. Aqeel is a social change pioneer, trailblazer and youth catalyst.

Currently juggling a double degree in Arts (Sociology) and Law at The Australian National University, Aqeel is also the Founder and Chief Empowerment Officer of Futures Collective, a fast-growing social enterprise on a mission to bridge the human skills gap between school, the future of work and life - no matter where you come from or where you’re headed.

"I'm a designer, problem solver and community builder, passionate about empowering young people with the foundations to navigate our innovating world with confidence,” says Aqeel.

“I want to ensure young people are able to not just survive a world with complex challenges, but that they are able to thrive and create change within it. From designing TEDx events at the age of 16, to shaping a future that is more human and meaningfully connected through Futures Collective, I believe in the potential of young people and am striving to help unlock it.

I'm also a facilitator of connection at heart – and love joining the dots between people, who they are and the impact they seek to create. But I think I use my skills best when I'm designing solutions to complex problems or building communities, and I love doing both.”

Futures Collective Young Trailblazers Program
