Claudia is enjoying her role in producing materials essential to human progress as an Advisor for Automation Projects at Rio Tinto. Claudia started her career in mining as a graduate with Rio Tinto after being exposed to the industry from a young age having grown up in many mining towns. As a graduate Systems/Software engineer, Claudia had the opportunity to apply her engineering skills to innovating in a variety of autonomous fields within the business. From autonomous trucks, to some of the biggest machines in the business – the reclaimer – to optimising drill and blast processes integrated with the autonomous drills. Outside of work, much like when she is at work, Claudia enjoys being creative and playing around with her 3D printer.
