Startups and Entrepreneurship
Build companies and solve problems with exciting new tech and solutions!
This industry includes exciting jobs and careers in new or fast-growing companies that have usually developed a unique business idea, and plan to take over or disrupt an existing market or industry.
Many of the world’s most valuable companies like Airbnb, Uber, Spotify, Tesla and Microsoft were small startups founded by entrepreneurs who grew their big ideas into even bigger companies!
Employability skills include adaptability, financial literacy, teamwork, information literacy, communication and digital literacy.
Many startup jobs are in the technology industry and use digital technologies, so you can work remotely within Australia, or in capital cities pretty much everywhere.
Post-school qualifications can be required for many roles. Part-time jobs and flexible hours are common.
