Future Amp announces Victorian partnership with Skyline Education Foundation.
Today, we’re excited to announce a Victorian state partnership with Skyline Education Foundation, which means Future Amp can now provide support to more students from socially and financially disadvantaged backgrounds for the final two years of their secondary education.
The partnership is a commitment to supporting disadvantaged students across Victoria with personal and career development opportunities on Future Amp’s all-in-one careers and skills smart learning platform.
“Skyline is so proud to be collaborating with Future Amp to bring leading-edge, contemporary, fresh and relevant careers information to our students. This practical online support provides incredible access to the realities of the future of work, and will set our students up for successful transitions into the workforce,” says Skyline Education Foundation CEO Jane Sydenham-Clarke.
Future Amp Co-founder and CEO Madeleine Grummet says this is an important partnership to level the playing field, break down access barriers to workforce opportunities and enable more young people to build in-demand skills and access industry-based learning before they enter the rapidly changing world of work.
“You can’t be what you can’t see, and you don’t know what you don’t know.
“We’re all about partnering with education providers who, like us, are creating opportunities for young people to connect with role models and unlock their potential to play a future role in the digital economy,” she says.
“By leveraging technology, our platform provides scalable on-demand access to global workforce insights, real-time data and empowers every young person to build their future career pathway and employability profile, anywhere, anytime.”
As a Pledge 1% company committed to equity of access to careers and workforce opportunities for all young people, Future Amp is proud to support Skyline Education Foundation teachers, volunteers and students so they can build skills to thrive in Australia’s future economy.
Economic, social and emotional disadvantage don’t discriminate, they target all, including the academically gifted. Skyline and Future Amp will collaborate across 2022 to put disadvantaged students back on an even playing field with their peers, by equipping them with the means and skills to reach their full potential.
Skyline aims to reach students from socioeconomic disadvantage; young people with English as a second language, Koorie students and refugees; students who act as carers (most often to parents who suffer from physical or mental disabilities); and those who suffer from difficult domestic situations (such as living in out of home care or with an abusive parent)
The partnership will also support Future Amp’s national education rollout, as well as the company’s commitment to impact partnerships to help bridge the opportunity gap for students in remote, rural, regional, indigenous and marginalised communities.
Future Amp partners with leading global industries and education providers across Australia, and this impact partnership is one of many to be announced in the coming weeks as the company scales nationally.
